JenyPhoto Jeny Knight, Executive Director of Independent and Assisted Living Jeny Knight graduated Magna Cum Laude from Houston Baptist University with double majors in Marketing and Business Management. She is a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) from The University of Texas Center on Aging and is also a Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) from Southwest Texas State University. She has a passion for serving senior adults with over twenty-six years of industry experience to her credit. Jeny has served in the capacity of Executive Director at The Abbey since January, 2005 and has never missed a day of work. Barbara McMahan, Marketing Director Barbara McMahan first joined The Abbey in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her family of 8 siblings, children, grandchildren, and of course, her husband Don Cage. Barbara worked for 25 years with Ogilvy & Mather advertising and Houston Community Newspapers. She has been in the Senior Care Industry for the last 10 years. Manuel Quellar Maintenance Director Manuel Quellar, Maintenance Director Manuel joined The Abbey in April, 2008 after serving as the Maintenance Supervisor for another retirement community for 23 years. Our residents enjoy Manuel’s BBQ-ing and DJ-ing for them. Manuel has three sons and two daughters that he is extremely proud of. He enjoys playing golf, barbequing, and music. He has also played bass guitar for 36 years and the last 21 years have been with his own band. AimeePhoto Aimee Pickett, Resident Services Director Aimee comes to the Abbey at Westminster Plaza with over 13 years of experience in the senior care industry. After her grandmother was diagnosed with Dementia she began working with the senior community in Colorado. She has been both a Resident Programs Director and Memory Care Director in the Houston area as well. Prior to working in senior care Aimee was a Corporate Event Planner for Fortune 500 companies, associations and an International Sport Training company in Colorado for over 10 years. Her event planning experience includes both Europe and North America. Aimee is a Founding and current Advisory Board Member for Kids on Bikes, a Crew Member volunteer for Sailing Angels Foundation and the International Affairs Director for The Houston Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. apickett@abbeywp.com
FullSizeRender Rhonda Dixon, Social Director Rhonda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois. In 2006, after a 20 year teaching career, she decided to use her skills to enrich the lives of seniors in the Senior Living Industry. She joined The Abbey in May of 2015. Rhonda is married and has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren, who are the light of her life. She enjoys bowling, square dancing, and going on outings with residents. rdixon@abbeywp.com
Chef Imrai Imrai Sanvicente, Executive Chef Imrai Sanvicente graduated from the Superior School of Tourism with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a minor in Culinary Arts. Imrai holds a stellar record of 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry and he is the newest addition to the Abbey’s team. Chef Sanvicente’s career started as an apprentice at five diamond-five star hotels in Mexico City, directed mostly by European chefs. Shortly after graduation in the year 2000 he decided to move to the United States where he worked at Arcodoro for Efisio Farris, in the Galleria Area. During that time he met his mentor, Chef Joe Mannke (also Rotisserie for Beef and Bird). Imrai learned about the opportunity to open Bistro Le Cep, where he served as the Executive Chef for the past 13 years. Imrai’s work has been displayed in local TV segments, newspapers and magazines. Through his cuisine Imrai has delighted diners all over Houston and now he brings his expertise and passion to The Abbey residents for years to come where he will always greet you with delicious creations and a warm smile.  Amy Craddock, Fitness Director Amy Craddock, Health and Fitness Director Amy Craddock joined the Abbey family in 2014, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the health and wellness arena. She graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, is a 200 Hour certified Yoga Instructor registered with Yoga Alliance and is also a Certified Senior Yoga Instructor through YogaFit. Amy has been in the medical field for many years, but transferred to the Health & Wellness field in 2011. Amy loves sharing her knowledge of fitness and nutrition with our residents in hopes that they will live a long, prosperous and healthy life!! In her spare time, she teaches and practices yoga at several studios in Houston and the surrounding area, kayaks the Austin waterways, paints and enjoys traveling the world! acraddock@abbeywp.com
