Jeny
Knight, Executive Director
Jeny Knight graduated Magna Cum Laude from Houston
Baptist University with double majors in Marketing and Business
Management. She is licensed as a Licensed
Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA)
from The University of Texas Center on Aging and is also a Certified
Assisted Living Manager (CALM) from Southwest Texas State University.
She has a passion for serving senior adults with over twenty years
of industry experience to her credit. Jeny has served in the capacity
of Executive Director at The Abbey since January, 2005 and has never
missed a day of work. She loves her job and looks forward to coming

Steven
Nastasi, Assistant Executive Director
Steven Nastasi first joined The Abbey in June,
2005 as the Food Service Director. Steven excelled in that department
and in January, 2007 he was promoted to Assistant Executive Director.
Steven graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Houston-Downtown
with a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a major in General
Business and minor in Management. Having graduated in the top
5% at the UHD College of Business, Steven was invited to join
the elite academic group Beta Gamma Sigma. Steven is married and
has one son, Seth. Watch out for his sharp sense of humor. He
keeps The Abbey residents, staff and family members on their toes!

Barbara McMahan,
Marketing Director
Barbara McMahan first joined The Abbey in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her
family of 8 siblings, children, grandchildren, and of course, her husband Don Cage.
Barbara worked for 25 years with Ogilvy & Mather advertising and Houston Community
Newspapers. She has been in the Senior Care Industry for the last 10 years. Her
friendly smile will make you feel welcome and at ease from the moment you meet her!

Jana Massey, LVN,
Wellness Director
Jana brings with her 8 years of nursing experience. She has worked for many years in
clinical nursing in a variety of fields including; neurology, urology and
assisted living. She carries with her a passion for the senior care industry specializing in Alzheimer’s and
Dementia care residents.

Charmayne
Goodluck, Food Service Director
Charmayne joined The Abbey in April, 2006 and brings
with her over 20 years of industry experience. Born and raised in
Guyana, South America, Charmayne came to America with her 5 daughters
in 2004. Charmayne enjoys cooking, traveling and meeting interesting
people. Charmayne feels very proud and blessed to be a part of The
Abbey Family.

Pat
Elias, Activity Director
Pat was born in raised in Liberty, Texas. As a Certified Activity
Professional, Pat decided to make The Abbey her first career choice
in March, 2006. Pat owned and operated her own child care center
for 17 years prior to joining The Abbey. She has three children;
two sons and one daughter, along with three grandchildren. Pat is
always thinking of new and exciting things for our residents to
partake in.

Manuel
Quellar, Maintenance Director
Manuel joined The Abbey in April, 2008 after serving
as the Maintenance Supervisor for another retirement community for
23 years. Manuel was born in Sugar Land, Texas and has remained
in the great state ever since. Manuel has three sons and two daughters
that he is extremely proud of. He enjoys playing golf, barbequing,
and music. He has also played bass guitar for 36 years and the last
21 years have been with his own band. Manuel is excited to be on
board with The Abbey and is looking to be here 23 years, too.
